A weekend in Musandam: fjords, forts and slow mornings
Tours BookingOctober 7, 20261 min read

What three days at the northern tip of Oman actually feel like — and what to skip.
Musandam is often sold as a day trip. That works, but it misses the point. The best part is the evening after the boats have gone back, when the harbour quiets down and the mountains hold the last light.
We usually suggest two nights. One full day on the water in Khor Sham, one morning on the mountain road, and enough space between them to sit still. The dhow lunch is simple and better for it. Telegraph Island is busy at midday, so go early or late.
The practical notes: carry your passport for the border, bring cash for small villages, and do not over-plan the drive. The road is the attraction.
